I have recently seen Chak De India, Hindi Movie starring Shahrukh Khan. Movie is really well made, concept is well executed. Cast is superb.
I am not discussing here, the pros-cons of movie. If the inside the board rooms things shown in the movie are really happening, then that is very bad to the Indian sport fraternity. if we have learnt anything from this movie then it serves the purpose. None of the sports are above or below other sport. We should respect the other sport and start value it. Money is not the only criteria for the success of a game, a national game.
The thing with India is we are over zealous and over reacting to anything, let it be politics, sports, religion. Be your self, analyze the situation and then react, rather than react first and analyze the situation later.
Give your support to hockey and see the change. Recently I have seen the full house at Chennai in Asia Cup, and we all have seen the effect- India won the Asia Cup. If you provide the support to players they will deliver. So come ahead and give your support to games other than cricket.
Let's show world that we are a 1 billion country.
